Stopping the Violence Counselling

Are you a woman who has been...

  • Sexually, psychologically, or physically abused as a child or adult?
  • Repeatedly called names or degraded as a child or adult?
  • Sexually assaulted by your partner?
(Intercourse without your consent or when you do not wish it is rape.)
  • Made to listen to threats against your family, children, friends, or pet?
  • Subjected to unreasonable control by your partner?
  • Not allowed to deal with finances?

Current research shows that people who are abusive towards animals are likely to be abusive to their partners and children.

If this sounds like you or someone you know, our free and confidential service can help.

DID YOU KNOW

You Have The Right....

  • To say no

  • To express your feelings

  • To be imperfect

  • To put yourself first

  • To be happy

  • To your own opinions

  • To take care of yourself

Does your partner or did your parents deny you these rights? Then you may have or are experiencing abuse. Ann Davis Services offers Stop The Violence (S.T.V.) counselling for women who have suffered any form of current or past abuse; emotional, physical, verbal, sexual, religious, psychological, financial or social.

The S.T.V. counselling program offers confidential individual and group counselling with office in Hope, Agassiz and Chilliwack. Some of the issues you may want to explore in counselling could be whether you are in an abusive relationship and why. How to deal with shame and guilt and how to feel about yourself.

It is important to remember that all abuse is wrong and it it not your fault! Reach out for help. You deserve the support.
